Inflation forecast for Azerbaijan announced
The Azerbaijani government projects that the country's annual inflation rate will reach 5.3% in 2027.
Operativ Media reports this, citing the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Economy prepared the forecast by considering the actual inflation rate for the current year, the relative decline in global commodity and food prices and its impact on import costs, the dynamics of the nominal effective exchange rate index, assumptions regarding exchange rate stability, and the effects of changes in regulated prices for goods and services. The ministry expects annual inflation to be 5.7% in 2025.
According to the State Statistical Committee, consumer prices in the first eight months of this year rose by 5.7% compared to the same period in 2024. In August, prices increased by 5.7% compared to the same month last year and by 0.2% compared to July of this year.
