A complete value chain up to the final product must be created in the mining industry. This, of course, envisages ore extraction and the establishment of several plants.

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a meeting dedicated to the State Program for the development of the mining and metallurgical industry.

The head of state added: "Beneficiation, pellet, and briquetted iron plants must be established. Naturally, the transportation of this ore plays an important role here. Therefore, concessions must be made in transportation—specifically in tariffs—to ensure economic viability. A maximum environmental assessment must be conducted, and all environmental standards must be observed."
