Political consultations have been held in Baku between the ministries of foreign affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported, according to Operativ Media.

The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Czech delegation was headed by Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Chatardova.

During the consultations, the current state and development prospects of Azerbaijan-Czech bilateral relations were reviewed, and views were exchanged on the agenda of cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian, and other fields.

In addition, current plans to expand the legal framework between the two countries were reviewed. The sides focused on interaction on international platforms, the development of cooperation within various international organizations, as well as the mutual support of candidacies.

The sides also exchanged views on topical issues on the regional and international agendas. In this context, the Czech side was briefed in detail on the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, steps taken toward ensuring lasting peace, as well as the large-scale restoration and reconstruction work being carried out in the liberated territories.

During the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of further developing Azerbaijan-Czech relations based on mutual interest and trust, as well as continuing political dialogue and regular contacts.
