Ilham Aliyev sends congratulatory letter to Erdogan

President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Operativ Media reports that the congratulatory letter reads:

"Dear Mr. President,

My Dear Brother,

On the occasion of the national holiday of the brotherly Republic of Turkey – October 29, Republic Day – I take great pleasure in extending my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to the entire people of Turkey, on my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan and Turkey are bound by genuine bonds of friendship and brotherhood that have stood the test of history. With the Shusha Declaration that we signed together in 2021, relations between our countries reached the highest level – an alliance – acquiring a qualitatively new meaning and essence.

On this festive day, I wish you robust health, happiness, and success in your high state activities, and I wish the brotherly Republic of Turkey and its people lasting peace and prosperity."
