Flights of Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan suspended starting today - UPDATED
Flights operated by Iranian airlines to Azerbaijan have been temporarily suspended.
The State Civil Aviation Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport told Operativ Media about this.
It was reported that due to U.S. sanctions imposed on Iran's aviation sector, flights of Iranian airlines operating to Azerbaijan have been suspended since September 22.
"In connection with the current restrictions, passengers are advised to contact the respective airlines and the points of sale where they purchased their tickets," the statement said.

Flights of airlines belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran operating to Azerbaijan are being suspended.
Azerbaijan Airlines told Operativ Media about this.
"Due to the new package of sanctions imposed by the U.S. against the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly those targeting the aviation sector, a decision has been made to suspend flights of Iranian airlines operating to Azerbaijan starting from September 22, 2026," the statement said.
