Flights to Azerbaijan operated by airlines belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran are being suspended.

Azerbaijan Airlines informed Operativ Media about this.

"Due to the new package of sanctions imposed by the US against the Islamic Republic of Iran, particularly sanctions against the aviation sector, a decision has been made to suspend flights of Iranian airlines operating to Azerbaijan starting from September 22, 2026," the statement said.
