Swiss Federal Council member Ignazio Cassis will visit Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan on August 4–5 in his capacity as OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

According to the ministry statement, discussions will focus on bilateral relations, peace efforts in the South Caucasus, and Switzerland's role in Central Asia within the framework of its 2026 OSCE chairmanship. The visit marks the first stage of a regional tour.

According to the itinerary, the tour will continue in the autumn of this year with visits to Armenia and Georgia.
