Jeyhun Bayramov: Azerbaijan monitoring constitutional reform process in Armenia

Important steps have been taken within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, and contacts are being maintained between the sides at various levels to continue the process.

Operativ Media reports that Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said this in a statement to journalists.

The minister noted that everyone remembers the decisions made and messages delivered at the historic Washington summit.

According to him, meetings of civil society representatives, as well as state officials, have been held within the framework of the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations.

“Meetings of civil society representatives and meetings between state officials are clear examples of this. The Joint Declaration adopted in Washington also notes that a new Constitution must be adopted in Armenia to complete the process,” Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized.

The minister noted that the timing and duration of this is Armenia's internal process. He stated that after the elections, the Armenian prime minister gave new messages regarding the public release of the draft Constitution at the end of the year.

According to Jeyhun Bayramov, the Azerbaijani side is closely monitoring the process, and official Baku's approach to this matter remains unchanged.
