Barcelona forward Gabriel Jesus believes his teammate Lamine Yamal deserves the 2026 Ballon d'Or.

Operativ Media reports that the 29-year-old Brazilian footballer transferred from Arsenal to the Catalan club on September 1.

Jesus said he has had the opportunity to train with various great players, and in his opinion, Yamal is one of those players. He noted that the 19-year-old winger's movements on the pitch look incredibly easy, according to a report by journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Notably, Jesus scored his debut goal for Barcelona on September 9 in a 5-1 victory over Feyenoord in the first round of the UEFA Champions League league phase. Yamal contributed one goal and two assists in that match.

The Ballon d'Or award ceremony will be held in London on October 26. The current holder is PSG and France national team forward Ousmane Dembele.
