President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan on September 15.

Operativ Media reports that Hakan Fidan conveyed the greetings of President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to the head of state.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings and asked to convey his own greetings to Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

During the conversation, the sides emphasized the successful development of brotherly and strategic alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas, noting with satisfaction that their cooperation is further strengthening based on the "one nation, two states" principle.

Touching upon the importance of cooperation in the energy sector, the sides exchanged views on new access routes to international markets in the field of alternative energy.

The logistical importance of both countries, including their role as a crucial bridge between Europe and Asia, was emphasized, and the significance of coordinating activities within international organizations was noted.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the prospects of bilateral relations, regional issues, and other topics of mutual interest.
