"I am confident that this Summit (OIC meeting – ed.) to be held in Azerbaijan next year will yield excellent results. Our hope is that by the time of that Summit, the ongoing processes, misunderstandings, and in some cases, clashes between certain Muslim countries will have come to an end," President Ilham Aliyev said.

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev made these remarks during a meeting in Baku with participants of international conferences.

The head of state also emphasized: "For our part, we will do our best to unite the Muslim world as a single family, to put an end to all unnecessary rumors, and to stop confrontations. Those elements who want to divide us and, in fact, strike a blow to the religion of Islam, should also be put in their place."
