Liverpool has announced the return of 19-year-old Hungarian midfielder Patrik Farkas to the club.

Operativ Media reports that the player has left Blackburn, where he spent four years, to join the Liverpool academy. Farkas previously had a brief spell in the Merseyside club's youth setup.

The Hungarian footballer was included in the U21 squad for the first time on Monday, being named in the matchday squad for the youth championship match against West Ham.

Farkas described signing with Liverpool as a dream come true in his career.

“Signing with the club is a dream come true. I am very happy and want to get started as soon as possible. I am a technical, box-to-box player who can play in several positions and tries to create goalscoring opportunities,” he said.
