A familiarization trip to Azerbaijan was organized for tourism companies from Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary by the Azerbaijan Tourism Board from September 7 to 14.

According to the Tourism Agency's report to Operativ Media, nearly 20 representatives of European tourism companies familiarized themselves with Azerbaijan's tourism opportunities during the visit, which included trips to the cities of Baku, Shamakhi, Sheki and Gabala.

During the trip, a B2B business meeting was organized between the foreign tourism industry representatives and more than 60 representatives of local tourism companies.

The meeting featured discussions on establishing new collaborations and expanding existing partnerships.

Notably, in January–August 2026, the number of visitors increased by 14.9% from Poland, 0.2% from the Czech Republic and 5.6% from Hungary compared to the same period of the previous year.
