Georgian Parliament approves Tamaz Borashvili as head of State Security Service

The Parliament of Georgia has approved the nomination of Tamaz Borashvili for the position of head of the State Security Service.
Georgian media reported, according to Operativ Media.
According to the reports, 97 MPs registered before the vote, and 83 voted in favor of Borashvili.
It should be noted that the former head of the Georgian State Security Service, Geka Geladze, resigned from his post on September 14. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze nominated Tamaz Borashvili as the new head of the service.
