Bologna have parted ways with head coach Domenico Tedesco, replacing him with Raffaele Palladino.

Operativ Media reports that a contract has been signed with the new head coach until June 30, 2029. The 42-year-old specialist will hold his first training session with the team today, September 16.

Tedesco was appointed head coach of Bologna on June 10, 2026. Under his leadership, the team failed to win any of their first four matches in the Italian championship, recording one draw and three defeats. Bologna currently sit 16th in the league table.

On September 8, Tedesco was handed a two-match ban for disrespectful behavior toward the referee during the third-round match against Sassuolo, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Domenico Tedesco managed Spartak from 2019 to 2021. He has also coached Schalke, Leipzig, Fenerbahce, and the Belgium national team.
