Armenia is ready to buy gas from Azerbaijan, Iran, and other countries.

Operativ Media reports that Alen Simonyan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, has stated this.

He noted that Armenia does not intend to replace its dependence on one country with dependence on another.

According to Simonyan, they plan to purchase gas from any available source. If Russia supplies it, they will buy from Russia; if Azerbaijan, from Azerbaijan; and if Iran, from Iran. They would even buy gas from Turkey if the opportunity arises.

Notably, the majority of gas imported into Armenia comes from Russia. In 2025, Gazprom supplied approximately 2.7 billion cubic meters of gas.
