Following the parliamentary elections held on October 27, Israeli President Isaac Herzog will hold consultations on November 4 with the leaders of the parties entering the new Knesset.

Operativ Media reports, citing the Office of the President of Israel.

It was reported that on November 1, Eyal Shviki, Director General of the President's Office, sent formal invitations to the leaders of all parties that won seats in the election.

Shviki noted that the president's residence is open to representatives of all factions. According to him, Isaac Herzog hopes the parties will engage in an exchange of views and take part in discussions aimed at preventing snap elections.

He stated that they expect the consultations to be held in an atmosphere of mutual respect and constructive dialogue. It was also noted that the meetings will be broadcast live online.

Following the consultations, the President of Israel is tasked with mandating the leader of one of the parliamentary parties to form a new government.

As a rule, this task is entrusted to the leader of the party winning the most seats in parliament. However, the president may also grant the mandate to a politician whose party did not finish first, provided they are capable of securing a stable majority.
