Possible US nuclear strike on Iran comes onto the agenda

US President Donald Trump's administration could launch a nuclear strike on Iran in the coming days under pressure from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, American journalist Tucker Carlson has claimed.

Operativ Media reports that Carlson made the statement in a post on his "X" social media account.

According to the journalist, the target of a potential strike could be Mount Pickaxe, where Iran is reportedly capable of resuming its uranium enrichment program. He claimed that Israeli intelligence possesses information regarding Iranian nuclear activity in the area.

According to Carlson, because the site is protected by a protective layer approximately 100 meters thick, it cannot be destroyed using existing weapons, making a nuclear strike the only option under consideration.

The journalist claimed that Netanyahu is insisting on such a step due to the complex political situation in Israel following parliamentary elections.

Carlson added that Trump has not yet made a final decision regarding a potential strike and is holding consultations with his advisors. Among them are US Vice President JD Vance and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. According to the journalist, both individuals support reaching an agreement with Iran.

Notably, Iran previously dismissed statements by the US President regarding the existence of a new nuclear facility in the country as groundless.
