Ilham Aliyev attends opening of Shusha Vocational Education Center
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the reopening of the Shusha Vocational Education Center following a major overhaul on November 7.
Operativ Media reports that Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev informed the head of state about the conditions created at the center.
It was noted that major renovation work at the Shusha Vocational Education Center, commissioned by the Ministry, began in March 2025.
The two-story, 360-seat educational building features nine workshops, three training areas, a musical instrument crafting and restoration workshop, five classrooms, an art room, physics and chemistry laboratories, laboratory assistant rooms, computer science and military training rooms, and a cafeteria.
The center's five-story dormitory houses an assembly hall, a technical creativity area, workshops, a library including a digital library, study rooms, bedrooms, lounge and fitness rooms, and a dining facility.
Developing human capital and establishing a modern educational infrastructure are key priorities of the state policy led by President Ilham Aliyev. In recent years, the nationwide construction of hundreds of new schools, along with the major renovation and technological upgrading of existing educational facilities, has created broad opportunities to provide the younger generation with high-standard education. In this context, the Shusha Vocational Education Center holds great significance. The center will serve as a key platform for training local skilled workforce and professional specialists who will directly contribute to the extensive restoration and reconstruction projects across the region.
