Today marks the 108th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Baku from the occupation of Armenian-Dashnak forces.

Operativ Media reports that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on this.

"The liberation of Baku 108 years ago by the Caucasian Islamic Army, which also included the Azerbaijani Corps, was a crucial turning point in Azerbaijan's struggle for statehood. This historic victory demonstrated the Azerbaijani people's will for independence and statehood, as well as the unity, bravery, and selflessness of our people and their allies. We commemorate with deep respect and gratitude the dear memory of all the heroes who sacrificed their lives to achieve this historic victory," the statement said.
