Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan have held an expanded meeting with the participation of delegations from both countries.

The ministers reviewed the full agenda of strategic alliance relations established under the leadership and vision of their presidents and enshrined in the Shusha Declaration.

The discussions covered political dialogue, economic and trade relations, investment, energy, transport and logistics, security and defense, humanitarian cooperation, and coordination within international and regional organizations.

The ministers emphasized the importance of institutional mechanisms, including the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, political consultations between the foreign ministries, and the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

The parties also exchanged views on cooperation within the UN, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the OSCE, the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), the D-8, and other international and regional organizations.

The ministers discussed the progress made over the past year toward normalizing Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, as well as practical steps taken toward sustainable peace and regional cooperation. They also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East and other regions, new geopolitical realities, and ongoing conflicts, reaffirming their shared belief that conflicts and military confrontations must be resolved through political and diplomatic means.
