President Ilham Aliyev spoke about Armenia's destructive attitude toward mosques during the occupation period at a meeting with participants of international conferences held in Baku.

Operativ Media reports that the head of state, emphasizing that 65 mosques were completely destroyed by the Armenian state and some were left partially ruined, said: "You have probably seen those photos; Armenia deliberately and intentionally kept animals, pigs, and cows in mosques.

That is, to insult and humiliate us, understanding our sensitivity, and deliberately hurt our people even more, they did not shy away from such savage acts. In fact, this was an insult not only to us, to our people, but to the entire Islamic world. This is the true face of the Armenian state. We must never forget this, and we will not forget it."
