"Under the Azerbaijan International Education Grant Program, 500 foreign students will have the opportunity to pursue higher education in Azerbaijan over a five-year period."

Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev said this at a conference dedicated to the 15th anniversary of AIDA, Operativ Media reports.

The minister noted that between 2018 and 2023, nearly 200 foreign students were given the opportunity to receive higher education in Azerbaijan under the Azerbaijan Education Grant Program for member states of the Non-Aligned Movement.

According to him, building on this experience, the Azerbaijan International Education Grant Program was established by a presidential decree in 2023. In the program's first year, 100 students from 25 countries received grants.

Amrullayev emphasized that the main goal of the program is not only to provide educational opportunities, but also to foster dialogue, mutual understanding, and the development of long-term relations among young people from different countries.
