Relations with Central Asian countries are one of the key priorities of Azerbaijan's foreign policy.

Operativ Media reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remark during an informal meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia and Azerbaijan.

The Azerbaijani leader noted that since the beginning of 2023, he has paid a total of 16 visits to brotherly Central Asian nations, while his counterparts from those countries have visited Azerbaijan 26 times.

“These statistics clearly demonstrate the dynamics and closeness of our relations, showing that Central Asia and Azerbaijan have already become a unified geopolitical and geoeconomic space,” President Aliyev added.
