English club Chelsea has officially announced an agreement to sign defender Honest Ahanor from Atalanta.

Operativ Media reports that under the contract between the London side and the 18-year-old player, he will officially join the team in 2027.

The young defender, who joined the Bergamo-based club from Genoa in July last year, made a total of 35 appearances last season. 

According to well-known insider Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee is €46.7 million. Under the agreement, Ahanor will join Crystal Palace on loan after leaving Atalanta.
