Baku is hosting the seventh meeting of the heads of Muslim religious administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) on September 14.

Operativ Media reports that the national anthem was played and verses from the Holy Quran were recited at the opening ceremony of the event.

The Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO), Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, who is chairing the meeting, delivered a welcoming speech.

The meeting will discuss further strengthening cooperation between Muslim religious organizations, protecting and strengthening the institution of the family, Islam's approach to science and technology, as well as other topical issues.

The seventh meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the OTS Member States is attended by the heads of religious organizations from Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

In total, state, scientific, and religious figures representing 40 countries and 15 international organizations are attending the event.
