Chargé d'Affaires Amy Carlon has visited Khankendi and Shusha as part of a trip organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

Operativ Media reports that this was shared on the social media accounts of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan.

According to the post, during the visit, she, along with other heads of diplomatic missions, familiarized herself with the cultural heritage and economic development of the region.

In Khankendi, Chargé d'Affaires Carlon visited the railway and bus station complex, the cultural center, Victory Park, Khankendi Stadium, Karabakh University, and a local sewing factory. In Shusha, she toured several key sites, including the new Shusha Mosque, the Ashaghi Govhar Agha Mosque, Shusha Central Square, the Shusha Creative Center, and the historic Shusha fortress walls.

"This visit demonstrated once again how peace and cooperation can unlock new opportunities for regional connectivity, trade, investment, and prosperity for Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus as a whole," the post said.
