The Nizami district branch of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) held its 11th conference on September 14. 

Operativ Media reports that participants first visited the monument to the National Leader of our nation, Heydar Aliyev, and laid flowers before it. 

At the event, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country. 

Following the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Rashadat Khaligov, deputy chairman of the YAP Nizami district branch, delivered a report. 

It was noted that during the reporting period, the YAP Nizami district branch organized its activities based on the tasks arising from the party's Charter and Program, as well as the provisions of the Regulations on Local Organizations. 

Over the past period, consistent measures were taken to coordinate activities among local party branches, increase the efficiency of work with members, and organize organizational processes in a more flexible and purposeful manner. 

At the same time, expanding the participation of party members in socio-political processes, recruiting new members, and increasing the social activity of youth and women remained in focus. 

In his speech, Ali Ahmadov, First Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Deputy Chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party, spoke about YAP's position in the country's socio-political life, the political legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the party's path of development, and its future tasks. 

He emphasized that since its inception, the New Azerbaijan Party has gained prestige as a nationwide party, further strengthening its ranks both quantitatively and qualitatively. 

It was also noted that the policy founded by National Leader Heydar Aliyev and successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev ensures the sustainable development of Azerbaijan amid modern challenges. Joshgun Jabrayilov, Head of the Nizami District Executive Power, spoke about the role of the New Azerbaijan Party in the socio-political and socio-economic development of Azerbaijan.

He said that modern Azerbaijan, resolutely advancing on its path of development based on the ideas and rich statehood legacy of the National Leader, is experiencing the most powerful period in its history. Jabrayilov noted that the modern landscape of our country, along with its place and role in the global political system, inspires great enthusiasm and confidence in the future among our people.

Sadaqat Valiyeva, former Member of Parliament who led the YAP Nizami district branch for many years; Fuad Suleymanov, chairman of the local party branch at "1 Azer Manafov Street" and head of SOCAR's Training, Education and Certification Department; Edilman Mammadov, a party veteran and one of the founders and participants of the first constituent meeting of the YAP Nizami district branch; and Kamala Abdullayeva, deputy chairperson of the local party branch at "110 Shirin Mirzayev Street" and mother of martyr Zakir Jafarov, noted that the active involvement of party members in socio-political processes plays an important role in implementing state policy and achieving set goals.

At the conference, the activities of the YAP Nizami district branch during the reporting period were assessed as satisfactory, and delegates were elected to the 8th Congress of the New Azerbaijan Party. The event concluded with the performance of the Anthem of the New Azerbaijan Party.
