Shamil Rzayev, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), has met with Duncan Norman, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the country.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on mutual cooperation in humanitarian demining, as well as current priorities and future projects in the field.

It was emphasized during the meeting that eliminating the landmine threat is not only a security issue, but is also of crucial importance for ensuring sustainable peace and socio-economic development in the region, as well as supporting the safe living and resettlement of the population.
