Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev attended a number of events on the second day of the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

At a meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Contact Group on Afghanistan, Rafiyev expressed support for the group's efforts and highlighted Afghanistan's potential to become a connectivity hub by strengthening cooperation in trade, transit, and energy.

During the Solutions Dialogue on Energy Transition, the deputy foreign minister presented Azerbaijan's renewable energy targets and its plans to become a regional clean energy connectivity hub.

At the Solutions Dialogue on Climate Finance, Rafiyev noted the importance of stronger system-level coordination to translate the "Baku Finance Goal" into real results, emphasizing the need to make climate finance more accessible, affordable, and efficient for developing countries.

The Azerbaijani MFA official also participated in panel discussions on connectivity, finance, and energy issues along the Middle Corridor at the 7th Caspian Business Forum, highlighting Azerbaijan's major achievements in infrastructure development, growing transit and trade volumes along the Middle Corridor, as well as progress made under the TRIPP initiative.
