The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has announced its latest decision regarding the benchmark interest rate.

Operativ Media reports that the CBA Board has decided to maintain the interest rate at 6.5%, with the upper bound of the interest rate corridor remaining at 7.5%.

The lower bound of the interest rate corridor was reduced by 0.5 percentage points to 5%. The decision on the interest rate corridor parameters was based on the dynamics of actual and projected inflation, developments in the foreign exchange market, changes in the liquidity position of the banking sector, and recent trends in global monetary conditions.
