President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the occasion of the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my most sincere congratulations and best wishes to you and, through you, to your entire people on the occasion of September 23 – the National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We are pleased with the rising and dynamic development of interstate relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, built on shared spiritual values, religious and cultural roots, traditional friendship, and brotherhood.

We attach great importance to the comprehensive development of our relations based on mutual trust and support. Today, our cooperation in a number of areas serves the interests of our countries and the benefits of our peoples, bringing them closer together. Our partnership with 'ACWA Power', a leading company of your country in the field of energy, including alternative and renewable energy, which is one of the priority areas of our cooperation, is expanding and gaining new substance year by year.
