Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke at the event "Prosperity through Peace: Trans-Caspian Trade Route and Investment in TRIPP" organized by the US government on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

Operativ Media reports that Bayramov emphasized the importance of strengthening regional connectivity for Azerbaijan's economic development, sustainable supply chains, and new investment opportunities.

The minister stated that the TRIPP project will establish a seamless multimodal connection between Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, strengthen broader regional ties, and contribute to lasting regional peace.

Jeyhun Bayramov expressed gratitude for the US efforts toward implementing the project. He also noted TRIPP's potential to contribute to the development of regional energy connectivity and diversification.

The minister also spoke about Azerbaijan's ongoing investments in establishing an integrated transport and logistics hub based on the Port of Baku and the Alat Free Economic Zone.

He emphasized the importance of digitalization, simplified logistics and customs procedures, as well as coordinated action among partners. 

In this context, he highlighted the successful coordination and roadmaps with Kazakhstan, Turkiye, and Georgia.
