Operativ Media reports that Chinese President Xi Jinping said this in a written address published on the first day of his state visit to the US.

Xi Jinping noted that China and the US must find the right path to ensure the peaceful coexistence of the two major powers in the new era.

The Chinese leader expressed hope to discuss key issues regarding bilateral relations and the international situation with US President Donald Trump.

He also emphasized his desire to expand the constructive substance of strategic stability in China-US relations, as well as to increase opportunities for interaction and cooperation in various fields.

Xi Jinping arrived in the US on September 23. Donald Trump welcomed him at the Andrews military base near Washington.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Xi Jinping's state visit to the US will last from September 23 to 25. Donald Trump, meanwhile, visited China on May 13-15.
