Cristiano Ronaldo's son called up to Portugal U-17 national team
Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. (Cristianinho), the 16-year-old son of Al-Nassr and Portugal national team forward Cristiano Ronaldo, has received his first call-up to the Portugal U-17 squad.
Operativ Media reports that Portuguese publication Record first broke the news.
Portugal U-17 head coach Filipe Ramos included Cristianinho in his 23-man squad for the first round of qualifiers for the 2027 European Championship.
The team's training camp will run from November 6 to 17. Portugal will play all its matches at home, facing Andorra on November 11, Bulgaria on November 14, and Serbia on November 17.
Although this is Cristianinho's first call-up to the U-17 team, he previously played for Portugal's U-15 and U-16 sides, making a total of 13 appearances across those youth categories.
The 16-year-old midfielder currently plays in the academy of Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, where his father also plays.
