Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed its condolences over a devastating earthquake that struck Japan's Kumamoto Prefecture.

According to Operativ Media, the ministry released a statement on its official X account.

"We express our sincere condolences to the government and people of Japan, especially to the families who lost their loved ones. We wish a speedy recovery to those injured and hope that the affected communities will overcome the consequences of this tragedy as soon as possible," the post read.
