A 12-year-old Azerbaijani footballer, Ali Huseynli, has been selected for the academy of Spanish club Villarreal.

Operativ Media reports, citing the official account of the Spanish club's academy.

Ali Huseynli, who plays as a midfielder, will play for Villarreal's U-13 team. He will join the Spanish club in March after turning 13.

Currently playing for Sabah's U-14 team, Ali Huseynli also trained at the academy of Turkish club Altınordu in 2021.
