French driver Isack Hadjar will return to Formula 1 competition at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix after missing three races due to injury.

Operativ Media reports that Hadjar suffered a wrist injury during a practice session ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix in August. As a result, he missed three races held after the summer break.

During his recovery, Hadjar also consulted with MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez. Marquez, who returned to racing early after breaking his right arm in 2020, advised the French driver not to rush.

Having completed his treatment after a three-race absence, Hadjar is ready to participate in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. The Red Bull team has also announced that he will race in Baku this weekend.

The team's statement noted that Hadjar's wrist injury has healed and he will take the wheel at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

In Hadjar's absence, Liam Lawson replaced him in the last three races. Lawson will return to the Racing Bulls team to compete alongside Arvid Lindblad for the remainder of the season.

Red Bull thanked Lawson for his professionalism, dedication, and hard work over the last three races. The team stated that despite taking on the role under difficult circumstances, he delivered good results and made a significant contribution to the team.

With Hadjar's return to Red Bull and Lawson's move to Racing Bulls, Yuki Tsunoda's temporary stint with that team over the last three races will also come to an end.

During this period, the Japanese driver finished 10th at the Monza round, earning one point for the team. Tsunoda will continue to serve as a reserve driver for the remainder of the season.
