Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs released information about this, Operativ Media reports.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani-Iranian bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as regional processes, were discussed.

The ministers emphasized the importance of continuous high-level contacts, mutual respect, and good neighborly relations.

Additionally, the meeting between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran held in Bishkek in August 2026 was noted as an important step toward expanding bilateral cooperation.
