US President Donald Trump has shared an interview with Newsmax by Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, on his social media account.

Operativ Media reports that in the interview, Hajiyev stated that President Donald Trump's successful efforts to end the decades-long conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia have transformed the strategic landscape of the South Caucasus and ushered in a new era in US-Azerbaijan relations.

He noted that what international diplomacy had failed to achieve for decades was accomplished thanks to Trump's personal intervention.

"The strategic friendship, strategic cooperation, and partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan are built on a solid foundation. This will continue to develop. In this geopolitical strategic region, Azerbaijan remains a reliable and trusted partner of the US," Hikmet Hajiyev emphasized.
