Eleven more preschools will start operating in the liberated territories this year.

Operativ Media reports that Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev said this during a press conference.

The minister noted that 12 preschools operated in the liberated territories in previous years. With 11 more joining them this year, a total of 23 preschools will be active, accommodating 408 children.

According to Emin Amrullayev, nearly 4,000 students will study in general education schools as of September 15. New schools are also scheduled to open in October, November, and December in line with the resettlement program.

“With this, education will continue in 29 general education institutions, covering all the liberated regions,” the minister said.

The minister added that learning conditions have been improved for more than 1.5 million students in recent years: “Up to 4,000 school buildings have been built over the past 25 years. Around 600 schools underwent renovations this year. There are 37 institutions starting operations in the new school year. Construction and renovation work is ongoing in 41 institutions, while 125 are currently in the design phase."
